Directions to Hebburn Civic Centre
Hebburn is on the South Bank of the River Tyne, approximately half way between Newcastle and South Shields.
By Road (parking available):
From the North: leave the A1 north of Newcastle at the A19 junction signposted to the Tyne Tunnel. Pass through the Tyne Tunnel (toll). At the roundabout at the Southern entrance to the tunnel, take the A185 (Jarrow and Hebburn) doubling back above the tunnel approach road. Continue along the A185 for approximately 1½ miles until you reach a small roundabout. Hebburn Civic Centre is on the left adjacent to Hebburn Swimming Pool.
From the South: head North on the A1(M). After Washington services take the right fork onto the A194(M) signposted to the Tyne Tunnel. At the roundabout at the end of the motorway, take the A194. At the next roundabout take the left turn onto Mill Lane (B1306). Continue to the end of Mill Lane and turn right at the traffic lights onto the A185. Continue on the A185, straight ahead at the traffic lights until you reach a small roundabout at which you turn right onto Campbell Park Road. Hebburn Civic Centre is on the left adjacent to Hebburn Swimming Pool.
By Rail:
The nearest mainline station is Newcastle. The nearest Metro station is Hebburn (approximately 10 minutes walk).
By Metro from Newcastle:
Leave Hebburn Metro station via exit ramp and turn right onto Station Road. Continue ahead to traffic lights and turn left onto Victoria Road (A185). Continue ahead until you reach a small roundabout at which you turn right onto Campbell Park Road. Hebburn Civic Centre is on the left adjacent to Hebburn Swimming Pool. From Newcastle airport either take a taxi or the Metro to Hebburn.
