The Prudential have now been appointed by the Tyne and Wear Pension Fund to provide the scheme's in-house Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVC) facility.
The Prudential manages over £150 billion on behalf of 10 million customers worldwide, making it Britain's largest provider of pensions and life assurance. A number of local authorities are contracted to the Prudential and some 50,000 local authority employees participate with them to supplement their pension benefits.
