November 2011 - Government Proposals
On 2 November 2011 the Government through HM Treasury issued a document entitled Public Services Pensions: good pensions that last. This was followed by a statement in the House of Commons.
These include revised proposals to public sector schemes from 2015.

The proposals provide a framework for the structure of each of the public sector schemes, known as a "reference scheme". The design of each scheme can include features that are specific to that scheme.
The separate proposals in the Government's consultation paper issued on 7 October are still under consideration so changes to contributions and benefits may also take place from 2012.
