Annual Mailing for Pensioner Members
We will be sending a mailing to all of our pensioner members starting on 13 April 2010. This mailing will provide your annual payslip, your P60 and a pension update.
We expect our telephone lines to be very busy during the period of the mailing. If you try to contact the Pensions Helpline with any query, please be patient. We will try to answer your call as quickly as possible.
If you have not received your mailing by 30 April 2010, please contact the Pensions Helpline.

Are You Changing Address or Bank/Building Society Details?
It is essential that you keep the Tyne and Wear Pension Fund informed of any changes of:
name
home address
bank/ building society
bank/ building society account number
bank/ building society sort code
If you are moving house or changing banking details please contact us. It may delay payment of your pension if we are not informed of the above immediately. Any changes taken from Wednesday 7 July can only be processed for the August instalment of your pension. Please note the latest date which we can accept a change of bank or building society for the August 2010 pension payment is Wednesday 4 August 2010. Any changes received after this date can only be processed for the September 2010 instalment of your pension.

Pensions Increase
The Government approves the rate of increase for all public service pensions and state scheme benefits. The pension increase is set by reference to the Retail Price Index. It does not reflect the performance of the Tyne and Wear Pension Fund. Your pension will be increased each April if you:
· are aged 55 or over
· retired on ill health grounds
· are receiving a widow's, widower's or child's pension
If you do not fall into one of these groups, your pension will still attract the increase, but it will not be paid until your 55th birthday.
