Increasing your benefits
You have the following choices to consider when deciding how to increase your benefits via a pension arrangement:
- Paying Additional Regular Contributions - known as 'ARC's' - to buy extra benefits in the LGPS.
- Paying additional voluntary contributions through the LGPS - known as in house AVC's - to the Fund's current AVC provider, the Prudential . Charges will apply to new Prudential Plans from 19 August 2012. Please read our information about the new charges
- Paying free-standing additional voluntary contributions (FSAVC's) to a FSAVC provider of your personal choice.
- Paying contributions into a stakeholder pension scheme at the same time as paying into the LGPS.
- Paying contributions into a personal pension scheme at the same time as paying into the LGPS.
Not all of the above will be available to every individual.
